I am Juan Betancor, from LIVING LAS CANTERAS HOMES.
"Nice to meet you. This is the brief story of how LIVING LAS CANTERAS HOMES was born."
I was born in 1980 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. I grew up by the beautiful Playa Las Canteras. The sea and the beach have always been constants in my life. I have a particular passion for surfing and freediving underwater filming.
From a young age, I helped my family manage a building of holiday apartments right on the Las Canteras beachfront. This building was my grandparents' family home until 1974 when, like many other owners, they converted it into holiday accommodations.
I studied at a German school in Gran Canaria and later earned a degree in Audiovisual Communication in Madrid. For the next eight years, I worked in various countries and in four different languages.
When I returned to Gran Canaria in 2009, while working in my profession, I continued to help some relatives with the management of their holiday apartments.
Soon, neighbours and acquaintances started asking for my help with managing their second homes in Las Canteras, to ensure good maintenance and generate additional income during the times they weren't using them. This led to the creation of LIVING LAS CANTERAS HOMES in 2010.
Since 2015, I have dedicated myself exclusively to this project. I'm passionate about hospitality! I actively participate in forums and training groups for property managers. Each year, I attend national and international industry conferences with the aim of continually learning and improving.
